Paulo Coelho's The Alchemist found her at exactly the right moment — as she was navigating the layered, demanding, beautiful work of motherhood, healing, relationships, and becoming. In its pages, she found a philosophy she had already been living: that the world has a way of conspiring in favor of those brave enough to seek. She just hadn't had the language for it yet.

Travel became her practice. Not the kind that ends at the resort pool — the kind that pulls you into a local market at dawn, sits you at a stranger's table, and hands you back to yourself a little more whole than before. As a woman of Mediterranean heritage, she carries a bone-deep reverence for ancestral land, cultural memory, and the people who preserve it. Every destination she explored, she sought out the indigenous voices, the keepers of tradition, the stories that don't make it into guidebooks. Those connections became the foundation of everything Destination Alchemy is built on.

She has spent years doing this solo — navigating foreign cities, ancient ruins, and unfamiliar languages on her own terms. She has often done it with her young children in tow, raising global citizens who understand that the world is not something to be afraid of, but something to be honored. That a classroom can look like a temple in Luxor, a fishing village in Greece, or a market in Marrakech. That the most important education a child can receive is the lived experience of understanding that the world is vast, layered, and worth knowing.

Christina also brings significant professional experience to this industry— having led event planning for a non-profit organization, managing complex group events for audiences of over 300 attendees. She understands logistics, people, and the art of creating an experience that moves a room.

She founded Destination Alchemy for the solo traveler who has been putting herself last. For the mother who wants to give her children the world — literally. For anyone standing at a crossroads who knows, somewhere deep down, that the answer they are looking for might be waiting on the other side of a plane ticket.
